I found this burrito recipe on youtube and tried it last night:

It was AWESOME. Basically you layer a nut pate with guac and salsa and roll it in a romaine leaf. I made three of them and they were really delicious. The nut pate is simple and is made from soaked almonds, lemon, turmeric, miso and water.

turmeric. Either the dried spice or the fresh stuff.

Darn, I was hoping it was a new spice I would discover that adds cheese flavor!
Now that I play it again I do hear him say turmeric, but it sounded almost like termite.
Thanks

I can't hear the link. Gosh, no volume but I see he is talking. Wonder what is going wrong with my computer. Any techies? Please come to my rescue. Thanks. Last thing I did was install active X. Maybe that's the problem?

Do you get any other computer sounds? Are all these volume levels on your computer up and not on mute:
-Master windows volume
-Wave volume
-Youtube video volume
-Speaker volume (if applicable)

My husband is the one who made it for me and he did add some nutritional yeast to make it "cheesier."
Also, there are raw sour cream recipes made with almonds. I'll post one if you'd like.

I have sour cream recipes (I have about 10 raw recipe books so I probably have thousands of raw recipes!), thanks for offering.
I was mostly hoping to learn about a new ingredient/spice, I was dissapointed it was just turmeric lol

Raweater,
Thanks for troubleshooting. No I actually had no computer sounds. Actually I ended up restarting computer, once rebooted, I am now able to listen to the great link.
Again thanks. Never assume I know too much when it comes to computers.

Yep, looks good. I'll have to try this one out.
You know what else makes the best "taco meat" to me is the the "the raw salsa taco meat recipe"... that on the tortilla with guac, lettuce, and salsa and some peppers, etc. is one filling meal. I use that now whenever I want something that I can use as a topping on nachos/tacos. I stopped looking for anything else after I found out about this recipe. It is filling - only make it when I'm hungry or need something that will hold my appetitie for a long time (these do the trick). That's the recipe below...just thought I would add it here since I keep babbling about it. Nut-recipes are heavy to me; I eat this when I'm really wanting something filling or when I know I'm going be out with friends who are eating the typical mexican foods. This recipe was good (I was so hungry the first time I whipped it up that I didn't soak the nuts and it was still excellent).. I threw in a couple of extra spices and upped the onions and added my beloved garlic (cause I like my heat; but honestly, this recipe has a good balance of flavors without tweaking. I "heated" it somewhat by placing it in container and then placing that container in a bigger bowl of hot water (did that while I chopped up my other veggies for salsa, guac, etc. It's really good stuff (you can use agave instead of honey and omit the nutritional yeast if you are concerned about the ethics of raw)

Thanks for sharing your "youtube" findings. I love it when you can find good stuff on youtube..I've created a raw vegan folder for all my raw findings on the net. Have a great day..you got me thinking about tacos now.

*bumping*
I hadn't made this in awhile but this thread inspired me...AND made me hungry!!! Have everything I need made already...the cool thing about raw is that you can vary what you make, how you do it, etc...and still produce something delicious!!! Off to look for a sour cream recipe and I am set!!! The video was fun to watch...thanks~:)
