I just changed my name from Crystalzgoneraw to RawHeaven which I think more adequately describes my journey. I feel like I'm in Heaven and that I've been rawborn.

I started my journey in the Fall of 2005 when I was hit by a Ford Explorer on my motorcycle. I'm getting a little tired of talking about it and I'm sure some may be tired of hearing about it, lol, but gotta give credit where credit is due. I thank the guy who hit me because through my recovery I have discovered what it truly means to heal one's self....body, mind and soul. And the best outcome of all of my long and oftentimes discouraging & painful healing process is that I'm now a raw foodist. :)

I began eating raw foods in June 2007. I've been 100% since January 1st and I'm continuing to feel motivated, inspired and oh so very wonderful living in my body. I love my body and it's a joy to eat fresh, living foods each and every day.

Thanks everyone who shares on this forum and for Alissa who opened a doorway to awareness with her knowledge and understanding. It's through everyone's experience here that I continue to understand how truly blessed we are all, how blessed I am. Thank you. Go Raw. Yay!

Love, Peace & Blessings.

Crystal

How great of you to focus on the blessings. You could be very bitter; however, instead it sounds like you are very healthy in your thinking. My husband & I were in a motorcycle accident in September. He was hurt much worse than I was and we started Yoga as soon as he was better. Now with the raw food addition, we will be much healthier. I drive an Explorer but I always watch out for motorcycles!!

My oldest son got a motorcycle at about 19 and he took a biking class etc but even though he loved it, I was very happy when he sold it....just call me a worry wart. By the way, love the new name. Judith

Suzy, I'm so glad you and your husband are doing okay. Motorcycle accidents are not fun. I've started Bikram Yoga and it is fantastic. Yoga and raw go together quite well. Indeed about your Explorer...hahaha...you made me laugh. I wasn't always so enlightened with the whole ordeal...just learned being bitter and angry only sits in the body and inhibits healing, making one even sicker. It has been wonderful releasing and forgiving and moving on.

Judith, I can understand your worry. Most bikers understand they will eventually experience an accident or down their bike. It's not a question of "if", but "when". I no longer ride, but it's still in my blood. It's hard to describe...there is a lot of freedom & spirituality attached to riding a bike. Glad your son sold his bike too. ;) Thank you so much...I'm loving my new name too. Lifts me up.

Have a great day!
