Hi All...I've started taking a probiotic yesterday...what can I expect when beginning these? I have a little pain in my side...is that the cause? How long before they begin working?
Thanks!

Were you taking them to treat any particular health challenge?
Most people will see a difference within a week or two in the quality of their bowel movements, sometimes it can help women with chronic yeast infections see a reduction of those... and you may just start feeling better, more energetic, etc; you're building up flora in your body which help you assimilate the food you eat more effectively.
I hope that helps a little.

Thanks Raw Singer! Actually, I've been taking them for a few days now and they have been a miracle in drastically reducing (though not completely eliminating) some gastrointestinal issues (translation: GAS) I was having. I'm hoping to see even more improvement - while I love eating raw I am at the brink with these tummy issues!

Can you tell me which brand you use? I am gas queen :( Has it helped significantly with gas/bloating?
Has anyone used NatureStar's Super Probiotic Complex?

Probiotics can be a wonderful aid. A combo of lactobacillus and bifidobacterium strains is a good idea to support both upper and lower intestines. You might find increased bloating and gas at first, but that will get better as the good bacteria take residence. Look for brands with no fillers or additives.
