Hello Everyone!

Today is my second day 100% raw! I am very excited about eating raw. I have decided to do this because I have been suffering from yeast infections for years, and horrible allergies. First I was told to stop eating dairy and wheat products, since my I am allergic to them. That has helped somewhat, but after reading Alissa's book I feel that raw makes total sense for me. I am 30 years old and married. Now the hard part is my husband. While being totally supportive of me, he does not want to go raw. So I think having a house full of unraw food is going to be a challenge. But my husband does understand that I want to feel better, so he is 100% going to support me. He did his own grocery shopping last night and made his own cooked dinner, while I made a salad. He did steal some of my salad though!

So far yesterday and today I have noticed that I am eating A LOT! But I feel good, except for my allergies, I can't wait to breathe again! I am somewhat concerned about the amount I am eating, but I am trying to listen to my body. I have ordered a juicer, dehydrator, and spiral slicer from Alissa's store, and am excited to get them. I am sure once I start getting into the recipies I will be asking a ton of questions! But for now I can't wait to see where I am in a month!

You are very smart to fix your physical problems with raw food. I will be watching for your progress reports. I truly believe lots of people would benefit from fresh food, but they don't know about it or are unwilling to try. I wish you good luck. Also, your husband will probably try your raw recipes; he may join you after he tastes how great raw food is.

Welcome to the board Mluce. I am so glad you have joined the raw world I believe it will make a huge difference in how you feel.

Don't worry to much about how much your eating, just eat, your body will definitely give you signals. I didn't believe this at first but eventually my eating habits started to change.

Look forward to seeing you around.

I have not watched her DVD. But after her book I think I will. Today is only my third day raw, and I am not as hungry today, but really thirsty, I am drinking a ton of water. I am thinking this is part of the detox?
