OMG!! i am sleeping like never before!! I am falling into an all out coma by 7:30 and I don't roll over again until 5:00am - this has been going on for the last 2 weeks - is this "normal?" - It feels great! I never like to sleep before but now it's not so bad! Just wondered if anyone else experienced this?

Did you just go raw?

I know I like to sleep a lot but it's not related to the raw diet. Sorry, I can't really help.

I have noticed my sleeping patterns change during my last 4+ months of raw, sometimes needing more sleep sometimes needing less. You will fall into more of a routine as time passes.

after years of crazy sleep patterns (likely due to caffeine addiction and anxiety), raw foods has stabilized me and i now relish sleeping LOTS (from 9pm until 6am generally). i know lots of rawfoodists claim to need alot less sleep, but for me it has been the opposite, and like you, i am really enjoying it.

Since I've begun my journey I am definitely sleeping like a rock!! This is just a FANTASTIC part of being raw. I used to sleep very lightly... hear every sound, creak, etc. Get up several times a night to potty, roll, rolll... and roooollll some more. I was always tired and ALWAYS napping... trying to feel better. Since raw (and I do mean immediately... like one week in) I now sleep like a baby. I don't hear or feel anything or anyone... hubby comes to bed and I don't even know it till I wake up in the am. I'm just deleriously happy about this!!!!

I love sleep so much, always have...and I'm very envious of you all because I have a 2 month old, and well...not very sound or long periods of sleep...but I'm not complaining :D

Please keep this thread alive, I want to live vicariously through all you sound sleepers getting 8 hours! Enjoy!

Since my herbal cleanse and part of a Master cleanse with moving into raw, my sleep has been better. Yesterday was 100% raw and didn't sleep well at all. Kept waking up or it was very light sleep. Of course, the DH was snoring and that's all I heard. I could have taken the pillow and smothered him it was so annoying!! Hopefully it will be better tonite and last nite was just "one of those nites" that will become fewer with time.

WOW! You guys are all so fortunate, it seems like raw is really helping with sleep. For me, unfortunately it has been the opposite. I sleep horibbly; I can't fall asleep first off and when I do it is low-quality at best. I wake up easily and when I do manage to sleep in to a good hour, I feel groggy and awful. Everyone chalks this up to detox, I don't know...I am really getting sick of it though!

Adensspell -- Wine can definitely affect the quality of sleep, so it may not be the raw food. My sleep is more noticeably (negatively) affected by any stimulant or depressant since I have been raw.

That's part of why I choose not to have any of either (so no wine, coffee, tea with any caffeine, etc.), with the exception of a small amount of cacao in a morning smoothie every once in a very great while. Now if I could "have my cake and eat it too" -- that would be great. But ya know what? I feel great and don't crave the things I have omitted!
