Bumpy Facial Rash

I have a red, dry bumpy rash on my upper lip because I made the mistake of using a chemical depilatory to try and deal with the fuzzies. It's been quite a few days and no improvement. I've been putting coconut oil on it. Feels good, but my poor irritated skin is still not pleased with me! Anything else I could try?

aloe will probably help. its a chemical burn, basically, and burns respond well to aloe.

i was going to suggest aloe, and then a layer of raw honey at night? i use raw honey for everything skin-issue-related.

I would also say aloe, but find someone who has a plant and use the actual aloe leaf...it really is incredible stuff. I wish you were next door because I have a huge plant and I'm always happy to share with someone.

Unfortunately I don't have an aloe plant yet, but in lieu of, I used the calendula cream that does wonders for my kiddie's diaper rashes! Calendula is an amazing healer. The redness is not all gone yet, but the bumps are slowly going down and the dryness is improving. Bye-bye NAIR, I'm not going to make THAT mistake again!

try lavender...or make the ULTIMATE healing potion by stirring a few drops into a little bit of aloe vera. make sure you get pure, undiluted, real-deal lavender essential oil.
