Spontaneous Before/Afters - 8 months Raw

Aloha gang! I was planning on waiting until my one year raw anniversary to get some photos taken of myself to post my before-afters (you know, for the WOW factor). But I have a good friend who lives in Colorado who is considering going raw, and I wanted to give her some inspiration, so I snapped some photos in the mirror this morning and decided... oh, what the heck!

Raw foods has given me my life back, and I'm not really talking about the weight loss, which has been dramatic and of course welcome. But its how I feel that is so amazing to me: Alive. Vibrant. Well. Joyful. Connected. Awake. Unflappable. Nourished. Happy.

wow, thanks everyone. :o , its pretty disconcerting to see those photos of me from last summer posted in a public place. as happy as i am for how far i have come from that, its still tough to look at those and remember being that person: tired, energetically depleted, anxious, worried, acid reflux, constipation, bad knees, aching feet. that big smile was all for show, i was dreading having my picture taken that day. i felt like i was 100 years old. now i feel like i've stepped into a time machine. i might be and look 38 (my age), but i feel like i'm 28, and sometimes i even feel like i'm 18. and sometimes 8. :)

i have been inspired and uplifted by this community... as happy as I am to have found raw, I am equally happy to have found you all, and share your daily pursuit of health and well being. it makes me want to give back, support, and hopefully inspire others along the way. thanks again.
