It should say the great news! After 30 days raw here are my changes:
I have eliminated caffeine
eliminated prozac
decreased red wine to maybe 2 glasses per week
increased my running - which I have wanted to do forever!
increased my strength training
decreased binge eating - all though due to excessive hunger still manage to over eat!
No binges on cooked or "junk" foods in 30 days!!
Bad news -
I am 140 and HAVE to get this fat off - I have not lost an ounce and my stomach is much flabbier. - It is even hanging over my jeans!!That is a first!
My eating is not all that bad - I tend to get super hungry in the morning after a workout so I have a big green smoothie with blueberries, 1 pear and a ton of greens - spinach kale and parsley.
I snack on vegetables and a grapefruit through the day - tomorrow my blendtec is due to arrive at the office so I will have another green smoothie before I leave from work around 4:00
Dinner is usually a big salad becasue that is what the family likes - I made the recipes in Alissa's book but I like them too much!! - They need to be more of a treat. One thing I can definately point to is that my friend and I make batches of coconut icecream - it is yougn coconut mixed with soaked cashews. I have a big scoop of that most nights - I think I have to blame that for the weight - but it is filling and alleviates any need for a binge.
Any suggestions would be so welcome!!
Oh - I do exercise daily - 3-6 mile run and weight train.

... and this is bad how????

Even the above is not "bad". That's what happened to my thighs. They got all flabby inside; skin hanging down; cellulitey... just oooogly! Before I knew it, they firmed up and are looking almost like I can wear a thong to the beach again.

Have patience. You're doing fine!!!! I would stop guessing as to what "may" be causing you to hold on to excess weight. The body is a miracle. You never know what's going on. Changes are happening. Maybe there's something that needs help internally and that's where the nutrients/energy are going. Trust the process. It's all good.

I SOOOO agree with Revvell! Trust the process. I know it's difficult to put so much effort into something and not have the results you were hoping for, but try to think of being raw with a lifelong attitude. The changes will come. I went through a very similar thing. I didn't have much weight to loose, but I got all loose skinned and jiggly/lumpy/YUCK! As time went by I toned up and continue to notice changes, like my thighs are firmer/smoother and my butt, instead of being this jello-like thing is actually rounder and lifted. I think that when you first go raw you go through a period of getting rid of your "false body". For some this may be a significant weight loss, for others is may be a kind of rearranging. Regardless, your body knows what its doing. :D Just hold on, all that you have accomplished so far is really inspirational!!!

Great responses! I definately agree :D Plus, seeing as you don't have much to lose (you don't weigh a great amount at the moment!) Then maybe that is why your body had prioritised something other than weightloss for the nutrients to be working on.

Maybe try going without the wine and see how that works - I know you don't have hardly any at all but it could be holding back a full detox where you may be needing it - to get rid of the prozac in your system and also the cooked food you have been eating your whole life :) xxx

you've accomplished plenty! Of course, you can accomplish more. The rest may take some patience & endurance. You can do it! :D Try different things & see what works best for you. Don't be afraid to experiment. Maybe different exercises or adding green smoothies, etc. Read around & share your experiences with others. Maybe something will click like "I should try that!"

i agree with revvell. nothing you've said is bad. enjoy your ice cream! enjoy your food!!! that's what it's all about... enjoying HEALTHY choices... and you are making plenty of them!

now take a deep breathe and trust your body... it knows what it's doing. after all... it continues to move blood, bring in oxygen and grow hair without you telling it to do it! *smiles brightly*

Hey Revvell the same thing is happening to the inside of my thighs right now! I looked down and they were swinging in the wind with deep pockets of cellulite. oooh la la. Glad to know they will firm up again. Do you know what the process is that causes this? Changes in how we're processing fats maybe? Thank you.

Janem congratulations. You're doing great! An inspiration.

I'll show you my flabby stomach if you show me yours.

I've named mine "puffy" and I might even be sad the day she finally decides to move out. :p

I wish I could do something nice for all of you!! Thank you so much for the excellent advice and support! You really help me to stay focused and raw - I was tempted to run out and get protein powder or something silly - but I am sipping my green smoothie at the moment which is a combo of spinach, parsley, mint, pear, and blueberries - and I am loving life!! If I make an honest relflection...I have made a zillion attempts to lose weight but I was never happy or comfortable with what the specific plan had me eating - hence the prozac! Raw is where I am mentally at peace and what has given me the courage to exercise more and stop ingesting toxins - so there is really no alternative as far as an eating plan for me. Thank you so much for the support - you gave me exactly what I needed!!

A "thank you" is enough. Many keep asking questions; we keep answering, they never have the courtesy to thank us for taking the time of our lives to respond. I thank YOU for the follow-up and "thanks".

I'm glad you're here, off the prozac and living life!!!! Enjoy!

That, what you said right there, that's worth more than any weight loss!!! WOW! Mental peace?! There's just no substitute for that, and so many people in our world are yearning for it! I'm SO happy for you!!!!

True Conversation I had with DH:

Me: I have good news and bad news. The good news is I'm losing my gut.

Him: What's the bad news?

Me: My boobs are going with it. :D

That's funny because last time I was raw I lost 37 lbs. and my DH (who is a wise guy) said:

That's great, but if you lose your t***s then your gone!
