I have struggled a little bit with healing. It's not that I bleed alot when I get cut but it takes months for my cuts to heal up and sometimes I have to use poly to help heal my cuts and only then does it "help" but it still seems to take for ever for the tiniest scratch or scab to heal. I don't know what needs to be included in my diet. My blood work came back great and my iron is at good levels so I am kinda stumped!
Any ideas what I can take or eat to help my body recover naturally.

I don't know why I don't heal well. It's been this way for 1 1/2 years

do you eat many greens? and how do you eat them? in a smoothie or by chewing them?

Yep. I eat a spinach salad with the works every day for supper. Im pregnant so I have to keep my iron in check and I love my peas and green beans and tomatos I can eat them right off a vine! Mmmm.!!
I have been eating tons of colored peppers because they have been so cheap lately. And Im still eating a good amount of fruit in my diet. Will be more so when the weather warms up. I think Im eating pretty good. Aside from the greens I have been continuing adding hemp and sesame and flax seeds in my diet. Sometimes salba when I dont run out and goji berries to keep the anti oxidants in my body. I have even tried eating baskets of blueberries for the same reason but the healing doesnt seem to change from my diet. I don't eat many green smoothies anymore. I cant get enough greens into them to like them. They end up being 80% fruit and 20% greens. Yuck.

20% green in a smoothie is better than no smoothie.

honestly some spinach salad daily isn't nearly enough greens. that may be why your skin isn't bouncing back either.

try adding some kale, collard greens, carrot tops and spinach to your smoothies. a huge handful, then a few bananas and some blueberries. that is a super yummy smoothie! drink 40-80 oz of those a day (2-4 glasses) and i bet you'll notice a huge difference!

have you read any of victoria boutenko's books?

i forgot to mention:

chewing greens and blending them in a smoothie is two different things. when you blend them, you break down the cell walls of the nutrients and you get waaaaaaaay more good stuff out of your greens. when you chew them... you don't break down the walls and get very little of the good stuff from them.

this is why green smoothies are such an important part of a raw foodists diet. (or at least why they should be) - we need a greens to be 40% of our daily intake... so increase your greens and see the depth of healing you discover! just think of all the goodness your baby will get as well!
