Hi everybody!

Just thought I would share this with you- :-)

In past few weeks, I've been sick, running to bathroom all time, hated it.

I know I'm cheese lover- I can never give it up! Until this happens! I switched to non diary creamer for coffee- and haven't had cheese in few days- I did not realize that I wasn't eating cheese for a few days! Now I'm having withdrawal signs- like anxious, felt like vomiting, pain in muscles - etc. i was in huge urge for pain killer even tho I never been a pill popper myself- I did bit researching on cheese.. OH my Gosh!

Here is it is:
According to an article in 2003, Dr. Neal Barnard authored a book about the cravings of food that many of us face. His book is titled Breaking the Food Seduction: The Hidden Reasons Behind Food Cravings and Seven Steps to End them Naturally. He concluded that cheese is particularly addictive because it has small amounts of morphine that is produced from the cow's liver. Additionally, other foods like sugar and chocolate are addictive to consumers.

Morphine is powerful painkiller!

Now I know why I love cheese so much! Every time I feel uneasy laying on bed due to some reasons- like stiff muscles or being restless, I would grab few slices of cheese to relax and fall asleep.

Now see, I'm a cheese lover, milk, ice cream...anything creamy and dairy really...:D And having said that...I do not like any of the raw cheese recipes I've tried.
However! I adore Raw Pineapple Cream and I love Raw Banana Ice Cream. :p They are at least creamy...which is what I love about dairy in general.
But cheese...I'm afraid, I haven't found a replacement for.

I am a cheese lover too, but I do like the raw cheese recipes I have tasted, most anyway. (except for some horrendous sunflower one I had) The thing is, if you make the fermented style cheeses, you are getting a totally new layer of tast, it is delicious.

It's true. I remember reading somewhere that cheese has the highest concentration of naturally-occurring opiates out of all dairy...which is why most people when going vegan can give up the dairy, but cheese is the most difficult. The opiates are produced in cow's milk to help baby cows fall asleep more easily, it serves a purpose in nature, but when it comes to us...well we end up "addicted" to cheese! crazy!

I'm on day 18 of a juice feast and still having God-awful cheese cravings. I resent this addiction! It's numbed out my brain and left my face bloated, my abdomen protruding and that awful feeling of a compulsion.

Very interesting... When I was a child, I was obsessed with milk, and in fact That was all I ate until I was 3, which worried my parents considerably, naturally. Then, up until I was 13, I was addicted to making everything extra cheesey... I loved cheese. But when I was 13, I decided to cut it out of my diet, in an effort toward health. Now... I don't even THINK about dairy, let alone crave it!!!!! It seriously doesn't even cross my mind, especially not by ways of craving... I like goat cheese ALOT, and will have it like... twice a year... but in general I find dairy to be rather repulsive in its aftertaste. And, to conclude, I definately think it's something that, with time, your body stops craving.

I sprouted sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and almonds. I made fermented seed cheese. It helps.
