2 Corinthians 7:1

Hello Everyone, (Saludos a todos),
Who am I? Well, let's see... I'm a 42 year old, married, African-American woman of faith, with two teenage boys. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. After two surgeries, I am not yet cancer free. I wish to document and share my journey, both for selfish reasons: it is cathartic, it will help keep me motivated and committed, and also because it could help someone else. My story is under Freshfreckledface's blog.
I'm very grateful for this forum, and I wish everyone success. (Psalms 1:1-3 (Salmo 1:1-3))
Bienvenido...
You are so brave for fighting hard, and you have definitely come to the right place. :) Blessings on your journey...

Where in CO? I am outside Denver? Know Heritage Christian Center? Keep the faith. HE heals. Congr. on your journey. This a great group. Just read your site. Wed. night the church is having a free health seminar taught by the pastor. Feel freedom to email me. Not knowing where you are, but if in Denver, Viagen Medical, is a great place for bed infared massages. I don't know what they are charging presently but it is Christian run too--across from Kennedy Golf Course on Hampden. Let them know Carol in Broomfield mentioned this although I haven't been there in a while. My friend Elaine bought their bed and loves it with great results. Great testimonies I have heard while going there at one point regularly. It's a pinch too far for me without any challenges. I didn't see any email way of responding to you, but here, which is great too.

Glad to meet you! I am in Colorado too, about thirty miles outside of Colorado Springs. I second what Carolg said: keep the faith, Jesus heals. I look forward to hearing from you!

There are many who have gone down the road your walking....sounds like you have alot to keep you walking. (two teenage boys) I also have two sons and let me tell you boys need their Moms. I love it when they write, e-mail, call etc and when we get together we can talk for hours....it's wonderful. My oldest son is 24 and the youngest is 19 and just left home for the first time. So you get yourself well and healthy....sounds like your taking a bold stand on regaining your health. I think you'll find Alissa's book and DVD very inspiring and helpful in starting out. There are success stories in it that tell of the success that others have achieved who have had very difficult health issues to over come. Best wishes....love, Judith

The relationship between mothers and sons is special, isn't it? Thank you, Judith. You sound like kindred spirit.

Yes, I know Heritage. My cousin attends there. Don't think she'd want me to post her name or anything. I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm on the Northern Front Range, (Boulder county).

Your introduction has really caught my attention, dear Freshfreckledface. I will be following your blog very closely in the hope that your switch to raw food is helping you to feel much better and to rid yourself of cancer. I, too, am a woman with faith in God. Although Jesus did say not to worry about what we eat or put on, we are expected to serve God with our whole strength aren't we and we know Adam and Eve were given an abundance of raw food in Eden. I do wish you well and hope you keep posting in your blog.
I am 61, married and grandmother to 2, and overweight and desperately looking for answers for the best of possible health in this sick world.:)

Heritage is large church and most likely wouldn't know your cous. Tons of changes always there. I am right outside Boulder County, Broomfield closest town. Feel free to email me. I'm not here to judge what you believe in. Isn't it great to be able to make choices? I lead a raw group in Boulder if ever interested. Very liberal group. Next rawluck Easter...in the early eve. however....near Alpine/Broadway, Boulder, CO

Hi Everyone! Thank you for posting and introducing yourselves/welcoming me. I don't have a chance to come here everyday, but will check in when I can. Islesgirl, I like what you had to say. It is exactly what makes sense to me. My friend that is doing the raw thing with me is close to your age, and has three grands. She also wants to lose weight. She started the same day as me, and is doing great!
Welcome to RFT. I pray that you will find healing and your journey with raw foods will provide you energy and health.

Aloha and Welcome to RFT!! It's wonderful that you have found this path ... and joined this forum.
I am praying for your recovery -- there are many who have been cured of cancer thru this LIFEstyle...
if you get a chance check out this video --it's about a young girl with a very rare form of cancer - incurable, and she became a vegetarian and got a little better.... then she went 100% raw vegan and completely cured herself. It is an amazing story! Here's the link...

I've tried responding to your blog and then saw that I can't email you either, and I don't know about private messages. Am a computer novice. But I would so like to talk to you. I'm hoping that your appointment with the surgeon went well today? By the way, one day, you will indeed be basking in the sun on your own sunporch. ;) Remember that your trials are temporary and that Jehovah will see you through this.
Much love,
Sue.

Welcome Sister - I wish you health with Jah's help. Just to let U know I too am struggling with health issues. But so far the only thing that really helps me is when I go raw. I've been doing 85% 15% . It still is really hard to stick to. We are so bombarded with the outside world. Just today I thought I would start again - Fresh juice for breakfast in my juicer - spinach, cucumber, carrots, 1/2 pear , 1/2 beet. YUM!!! Then my husband came home , we went out to buy a new kitchen tap and he wanted to go for lunch. Well !!! I find it hard to resist - mind you I had salad, but I had 1 slice of rye bread . I think I need to keep a stash in my purse.
Ever want to talk look me up. Suzy :D
