If you substitute carob for cacao, do you use the exact same amount? I've found carob to be pretty strong...should I use less?

I think you usually use the same, but not as much sweetener since it's not bitter like cacao. Probably depends on the recipe.

i always just use whatever i have and don't even think twice... i just substitute straight across
