I left my jar of almost 3 young coconuts worth of meat out on the counter today. Tonight I went in the kitchen and it was bubbling and when I sniffed it, it hurt my nose (literally). Oh, what has come of my coconut and is it still safe to eat? Will it be edible?

Sounds fermented to me. I wouldn't eat it....anything with natural sugar in it will ferment. Sorry...hate loosing food too~

Isn't fermenting a good thing? Doesn't it make good bacteria (pro biotics)? I have several fermented recipes in some of my books, at least I think fermented is the term, could I be confusing fermented with something else? I'll check the book later.

I was thinking this too, but there is no salt in it, so I wonder if it is safe. Then again, I wouldn't think soured milk was safe, but people drink that.
HELP!
