Okay, I'll try to be as delicate as possible in raising this question. My elimination has always been regular, even when I wasn't 100% raw. For the most part, I eliminate within a couple of hours after each meal ( 3-4x on a typical day). Surprisingly, since becoming 100% raw, my pattern has continued, and my elimination is so full. That surprises me because there's no meat, dairy or processed food being eaten. I guess I didn't think there would be that much to eliminate. Is this happening to anyone else? Is this healthy?

I've been eliminating about 3-4 times a day as well. I've heard that raw food is processed much more quickly; 24-40 hrs raw food, 40-100 cooked food. Not to mention that you're eating several times daily.

Also, the food is not as likely to clump together as in a cooked food diet. So I could see how going a few times a day would be the result of this. And I noticed that raw waste doesn't smell as bad. ;)

Be sure to get your B12 and iron, and I'd say your safe.

Raw food is pure fiber! That is why the eliminations are so large...it's a good thing! :D

Big poo is a beautiful thing. Just wait until the anaconda shows up. You'll be amazed. It will be the size and width of your colon and you will really know you're healthy then. I am not kidding either. I bet you 100 bucks you will stare at it in awe and will not want to flush. Correction...you will be afraid to flush. There is nothing gross about the body's systems or experiencing optimal health. :p

The first 4 days was diarrhea all the time, now I have not had a bowel movement. I usually go several times a day, even on cooked. I wonder why none today.

OK, Crystal, that's really funny!!!

I think I would be worried more about not "going" enough than too much.

Either way, lots of pure water, daily green smoothies and exercise and varied raw food = your body should be happily eliminating what it needs to. :)

Oh, yes...the skinny, looooong snake...YEAH, I guess I'm healthy then! AND this is from a previous IBS and constipation sufferer. Raw is so healing!

you guys are too funny. :p

But yes, I have also been going more freely and more often since going raw. Why be concerened about it? You're body is supposed to eliminate and keep the colon clean. A meat based diet is bad, it stays with you much longer and that's not healthy.

Anaconda??? Uh oh, I'm afraid of snakes!

:D

I was so happy when I started pooing that much because I knew that my body was being cleaned out! It feels great!
