Avo prices up? Trend or season?

I noticed avocadoes are getting more expensive, the non organic are now nearly the old price of the organics, and the organics are now $2 each. Is this an ongoing trend that will continue or is it just due to the season/time of year?

I am not sure, but I have noticed the price change as well. It might have to do with the high gas prices and everything going up. I am not sure. who knows?

Here in Kansas they are around 1.79 each for non organic.. I hate that because I *adore* avocados!

Here in CA the prices have been going down.
