I made Alissa's fettucinni last night - it did not sit well in my stomach at all. I had to substitute the summer squash for spaghetti and the macadamia nuts for double the cashews because I am allergic. I also think I put too much Braggs aminos in there...anyway I felt really sick to my stomach after and still actually do a bit. Has this happened to anyone after trying a raw recipe? Could it be that my system is just not used to it? Any thoughts?

Sure. And for some, eating more simply...with less mixing of foods....and/or eating of 'processed foods'....would be beneficial.

Yes, if I just sprout, dehydrate and eat, I'm good to go with nuts. But nut cheese....yikes! I'm sick all day. :o Bummer too, dairy is thing that I miss the most being raw.

Did you soak the nuts? I find that if I don't soak then I sometimes have a problems with digestion.

No I did not soak the nuts. I am ok today with just banana's, apples and kiwi - I think I will stick to the more basic raw foods for now until I get the hang of this.:)

Hello,
Yes, actually the same thing happened to me with Alissa's fettucinni-I got a stomach ache for awhile right after eating it. I simply choose not to fix that recipe anymore because I am scared of it happening again. Also recently it happened to me again with a raw onion soup recipe. Why? who knows?

^^^^Onions are SO acidic and awful for the stomach, ESPECIALLY when raw!!!!
