How about power walking with weights?
Light weight training?

I enjoy weight training three days a week and running on other days. I don't have to worry about my weight when I stick to my program. The weights keep my muscles toned and the running keeps me slim.

IMO, walking outside in the fresh air and sunshine on a nice comfortable day is best and when weather keeps us inside then rebounding is a great way to shake up the lymph system and assist detox.

I have several answers lol:

1) THE ONE YOU ENJOY DOING!! You wont stick to anything if it's not enjoyable.

2) DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION! The is waaaay fun, can be done in small space, gets heart rate up, is challenging & again waaaaay fun! :D

3) What EZ rider said! Walk like you mean it! Walk like you can't run but people are after you to steal your durian! LOL :D

I recommend swimming, it's an excellent cardiovascular workout and it tones your muscles at the same time, I was ripped and lean when I was on the swim team in HS

A variety! With variety one does not get bored. I love to rebound, powerwalk, kickbox, lift free weights, swim, jump rope, hike in the woods, use my exercise ball, go dancing etc. There are so many things that you can do . I have been looking into purchasing some kettlebells as well. Just keep it fun so that you do not get bored.

Yoga and Walking - both can be started gradually and intensified. And both are even better for the mind.

The ones you'll do, as RVM says. We can't say what's best for you.

Here are some choices though:

That is probably your best answer.

Start with walking indoors and outdoors which ever is the most convenient.:D

I say circuit training with weights. you need resistence exercise to keep muscles from atrophying, and the circuit component will give you cardio benefits.

but why would you want to stick with just one exercise method?? eventually you'll get bored and quit.

Weight training and yoga have been working out great for me. I hate using the stairmaster for the cardio portion, but try to include it at end of workout. I need to increase my time as I do 15, 20 mainly, 30 seldom, would goal. I workout about 5-6 days weekly. I enjoy seeing a slimmer me so I always remember that. Hope the snow coming down doesn't throw a curve to my yoga class tomorrow AM and then in evening I go back to gym and do the weights.

All of these are great suggestions. The way to get the best results possible is to do a variety of exercise (weights, aerobics, yoga, pilates, swimming, primal nature, etc.) in order to work all of your muscles in different ways. Some forms of exercise are more focused on promoting flexibility (e.g. yoga, pilates), while others are designed to build muscle and strength (e.g. weight-training). Working you muscles in different ways is also important in that you are always "surprising" your muscles so you don't plateau. And of course, like these wise people have said, if you do a variety of workouts, you won't get bored. But yes, above all, the most important thing is to do the exercises that you enjoy but still challenge you! Good luck!!

I do this exact same thing, and it has worked wonders for me along with eating raw!

Kettlebells. I'd still cross-train and incorporate a stretching regimen.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA in a heated room! Best exercise I've ever done, and I've done pilates, been an aerobics instructor, a jogger and done turbojam and free wts till I'm blue in the face. I'll never go back to those-yoga is powerful stuff!

I like to mix it up myself but I think if I could choose one rebounding is a wonderful cardio activity and also good for the lymphatic system. :)
