Congratulations, Aleesha!
I have a question, though...are you saying that it took you three months, eating raw and exercising, to lose 2 pounds?

Haha, if you look in her signature, it says "Raw since 08/2007 - Living 100% Raw and Healthy - released 65 lbs and many inches...
Almost at my goal size."
So I'm guessing she hit a mild plateau those 3 months... But losing 65 lbs from August alone is phenomenal!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree!
BUT, being stuck at 200 for three months made me think that maybe there is a medical issue (thyroid or something). I was asking out of concern and just wanted her to clarify it.

yup i sat there... releasing NO weight at all... but greatly reducing size wise. it was very frustrating.
i plan on getting some blood tests done at the doctors soon anyway, so i'll have him check me out good. (it's free up here in canada)...
but yes... i couldn't release weight... no matter what i did. my friend (who's a raw food coach - melissa gilbert) asked me to start eating an avocado a day for 10 days... as she felts my healthy-fat level was way too low... i did that and BAM i started releasing.
i hope it continues!
(but thank you, i'll ask the dr to check me over good)

That's fabulous!! It's inspirational to see someone achieving their goals through persistence. I hope you are feeling very proud of yourself indeed!

Good for Melissa Gilbert! It's amazing isn't it...that we need healthy fats to release our "system stored" unhealthy fats? It's a wonderfully true concept, one that I wish more people believed and followed.
In the late 80's I was eating tons of no fat food, following Susan Powter's (no fat guru queen) plan. I got very sick!
You GO, girl!!!

Congratulations!!! It's time to party for sure!!!! I just started exercising seriously this month and this week I gained a pound! I hope it's just muscle replacing the fat and I'll lose inches like you.

Yayyyyyyyyyy Aleesha!!!!!! Way to stick with it through the slow times. Its easy to stay motivated while you're losing pounds, but only the TOUGH can keep it together during those times where it seems like there is slow or no progress. I predict you're on a roll now... :)

oh my gosh... that's just FANTASTIC!!!!! I can fully understand your happiness b/c I was *trying* to get past the 15 lb released mark and fully expecting it not to happen that day, it did and my jaw actually dropped open lol!!! Good for you for sticking to it for those 3 months when the weight wasn't dropping. btw... it's cool that adding healthy fats to your diet helped you to start releasing the bad fats. I soo wish I could enjoy avos... but they kinda make me gag lol!!

it was hard during that plateau. but at the same time - i'm doing this for health... the weight release is the icing on the raw cake!
i knew eventually it would start moving off, or i'd sit at that weight forever, either way at least i wasn't 265 anymore!!!
i'm still doing a happy dance... i finally beat the 200 mark!!!!!

Good for you.
I am in the same boat but I have been at 197 for about a month now. I thought it was because I starting religiously working out. I think I'll try the avacado thing.
Keep up the good work!:) :) :)

Congratulations! I think I know how it feels to drop below 200 (about how I felt dropping below 300--only more so!) I hope to join you in the "100 club" someday soon!!
I also believe in the avocado theory--I went 3 months with no weight loss and added avocados, and BAM!
Thanks for re-inspiring me to be more diligent about 100% raw!

hey no problem terri, glad to be of assistance!!!
well i weighed myself again today cause i wanted to see if i read the scale wrong and i'm down to 197! oh ya baby... it's workin'.
i'm also going to add flax seed oil to my morning smoothies. i've heard that's pretty essential for health AND weight release!
i'll be happy to say goodbye to the 90's and then the 80's and then the 70's and eventually say hi and get comfy and settled in the 60's or lower :D

Congrats to you.
I have been waivering up and down a few ounces for about 5 or so weeks now. I have a personal trainer who is saying I am not eating enough protein so I am not able to burn the calories with low fuel. I hope I am saying this right as writing it. My husband thinks my 30 pound loss is due to yoga. He's entitled to believe whatever he wishes. I know the truth!

do you add any chia seeds or bee pollen to your day?

I'm all about the healthy fat theory.
M<y greatest weight loss comes when I enjoy 3 avos daily plus first cold press EVOO. My body needs good living fat to do it's thing, and I need to remember that.
SO LEAVE SOME ROOM FOR ME IN THAT CLUB...I'M JOINING IN TOO:cool:
