I tasted one of McDonalds Veggie burgers recently and really liked the flavor. I realize that it was made with black beans.

I have heard that black beans aren't really raw friendly, because they have to be cooked.

So, I am trying to make some veggie burgers that are similar, using adzuki beans. How long should I soak these beans? Should I sprout them? Do they have to be cooked? This is the part that I am really not familiar with. The sprouting and knowing whether or not something needs to be cooked, which means not accpeted on this diet.

Any advice?!?! I really want to make a super nummy veggie burger that has a similar flavor to McDonalds.

Thanks!

Can't anyone help me?!?! I just really need to know the best way to handle my adzuki beans for making veggie burgers. I really want to make them tonight, i have been saving up all my partners carrot/beet pulp from his daily juice.

Help me please! I beg you!

I cant help you much but you might google for more help. My sprout chart says you sprout them 4-5 days. Thats not gonna help for tonight but you could quick soak some sunflower seeds to add to your pulp. Season it with some chili powder and a little cumin for more of a black bean flavor. Best of luck!!

thank you so much for helping me. I wasn't sure what to do. I am pretty new to raw food and I am trying my best. I have now found several sprouting guides. I already tried putting together my veggie burgers. I just hope they turn out okay. If not, I will try again.

Thanks again1

Okay, so I have made some veggie burgers with what I had.

I have some with corn, and some without corn. They went from smelling really good in the dehydrator to smelling kind of vinegary sour. And the ones with corn in them are getting this white stuff around where the corn is?

Why is this happening? Am I just destined to failure with my dehydrator? I need help. This will be my third batch of stuff that isn't turning out.

I have aduki beans, carrot and beet pulp, some fresh herbs, onion, garlic, and homemade corn flour in all of them, and then corn in a few of them. Is there something that I shouldn't have used!?!?!

Please help!!!

I've used mushroom, carrots, nuts and asst. veggies in the food processor with various spices, salt etc... to make "meat" balls, patties...it sounds like yours fermented/spoiled from the dehydrator temp being too low..you can turn it up to 140 I think for the first several hours of drying time without the food getting too hot and rendered non-raw

I don't have a real dehydrator yet. I just have a cardboard box lined with foil. It works great for some things.

It only seems to be the burgers with corn in them that are affected..

I think I just might have bad luck with corn. I will have to get a thermometer to check what the internal temp is.

Thanks for the help!
