Hi everyone I am new here and have some questions.
I do not own a blender or a food processer, only a Magic Bullet, which is ok for small amounts. My question is does a Vitamix do the job of both a blender and processor? I'm thinking about things like nut butters, dips, etc...

If Vitamix is the way to go, does anyone know where I can get one in Vancouver? Or would it be better to cross the border and get it in Bellingham or Seattle? Any idea where?

Also I could use some guidance for dinners. Breakfast is fine with fruit and nuts, lunch is a big salad with avacodos, seeds, etc.... I have snacks down pat. But what do you all eat for dinner? Another salad? A smoothie? any ideas welcome. I have ordered Allissa's book and DVD so maybe that will help with ideas.

Thanks!
Anita

anita, i can totally hook you up with a canadian supplier AND free shipping if you want a vita-mix. email me. timelessspirit@shaw.ca i live just outside vancouver!

when i got my vita-mix i stopped using my food processor. my hubby still uses it but i find the vita-mix does it all for me. i'm a huge fan of the vita-mix!

for supper i usually have a kale salad with a few raw veggies on it. i looove my kale salad!

cut up some kale... drizzle with olive oil and either apple cider vinegar or lemon or lime juice. some salt. rub it all together with your hands. work it in gooood.

let it sit for 5 minutes while you cut up some fresh tomatoes/cukes... and then toss it together and eat!!! yummmmmmmmmmy.
