I found the show "You Are What You Eat" tv show on BBC America and am totally addicted to it! The show either has a person, couple or family that is overweight and is REALLY in bad shape as far as eating habits go and Gillian McKeith the host and holistic nutritionist goes in and transforms their eating habits into a much healthier one.
Gillian the host of the show has the participants eating alot of raw fruits and veggies plus other cooked foods. The reason I am posting this is because I went to the website and there are some good raw recipes or ones that could be adapted on there....

This is Gillians webpage with more recipes (haven't looked it over yet) http://www.gillianmckeithclub.com/resources/recipes/weightlossrecipes.php
I find the show quit motivating on my journey to eating healthier :)
Thought id share!

I love the show too, and I love Gillian.
I just don't love her products. I will never ever buy them. A 100g bag of gojis are about £1.00/$2.00. Her bottle of the same size is almost £5/$10.00. Her name is not worth the cost.
She is also a part of another show called Superskinny Vs. Supersize. This show has one really skinny underweight person eating patterns up against a superheavy obese persons eating patterns. They have to trade eating styles and diets. The idea is to show how to gain/lose weight through diet changes and how to eat healthier meals.
Gillian's part of the show is to test different methods of firming up the butt. She has used a machine called Joyride, which simulates horseback riding, personal trainer, and several other methods. And she also challenges the English public to to pick the meal with the most/least calories.
The show also has a presenter trying all the latest 'weight loss' crazes. The lass tried the Master Cleanse and hated it.
You might want to see if it is on BBC America. If not, google it and check out the web page.

i watched a couple episodes of that, it's okay, but didn't hold my attention for very long. i think i was just so repulsed to see the sorts of junk that people are putting into their bodies, i couldn't take it. it's good, though, that people are being encouraged to eat healthier and face the grossness of processed, chemical laden junkfood.
the most interesting and yucky part of the show was when she analyzed the person(s) poo sample!! she actually smells it

I find this show very interesting. I especially am amazed at how all the people are so incredibly picky about eating things like the fresh fruits and vegetables she recommends. But when you see the stuff they were eating (a table of all brown, gross, fatty, congealed stuff) I am just amazed they put some of that disgusting food in their mouths.
The most interesting transformation is always their skin. They always have such a beautiful glow after changing their diets.
