Hello everyone
I saw Alissa Cohen on Tyra a few months ago and the whole idea of going raw both scared me and intrigued me at the same time. It has been plyaing on my mind all this time and finally this past weekend I decided to take the plunge. I have ordered her book and DVD. But I am anxious to get started so yesterday I ate all raw (I think) and last night I went to Whole Foods and got all kinds of weird and hopefully wonderful items.
I was hoping to get some feedback to tide me over till my book arrives. This is what I ate yesterday:
Morning: handful of almonds&dates, fresh kiwi, blackberries, blueberries
Snack: banana
Lunch: big green salad with avacodo and pine nuts and Udo`s oil dressing
Dinner: celery sticks with cashew butter, fresh clementines, dates and almonds
Snack: raw food bar that I found at Whole Foods

Today will look pretty similar, except that I found all kinds of sprouts at WF and so my salad will be pretty healthy at lunch. I will also sprinkle some hemp seeds on it.

So am I on the right track here. If anyone has any suggestions to keep me going until I have the book, that would be great!
Thanks!
Anita

I would say you are definitely on the right track. Just keep moving forward. Do you have a blender or juicer? If you do, you could start experimenting with juicing and making smoothies. If not, continue trying different fresh fruits and vegetables and see which ones you like and which ones like you. Congratulations on your decision and good luck! :)

Welcome to the group!!! Nice to meet you!:D

Doing the simple stuff till the book get to you is a good idea. That's the way we did it. Check out the recipe forum for salad dressing ideas to keep things interesting. And make sure you drink plenty of green smoothies!;)

Best wishes on your raw journey!
