:) Hello Everyone,

My name is kim Hansen,

I am 48 years old, and just moved from west los angeles to Torrance California.

I am still learning about the raw food program. I have done raw foods on and off for a few years now, and I would like to do raw foods permanetely. I had atttempted this a few days ago again, but I got lightheaded and spacie, so what should I do to prevent this or is this a temporary phase I should expect to go through. I would be greatful to any suggestions here.

I am happy to be apart of this wonderful site with healthy minded and heart space individuals such as your self.

with blessings,

kim Hansen

Welcome Kim. Are you getting spacie making changes such as a detox--feeling yucky? I am wondering if you are experiencing your body in a detox mode and showing these signs? I am also thinking perhaps for your body may want to ease yourself into raw 100% and do what works for you to increase your %. Everyone is on a different journey, but hang in.

I'm sure in your area there must be some raw food groups who gather for what we call her rawlucks. May be a great support system besides online too.

Let's see what others say about your feeling space. Feel well.

Aloha and Welcome to RFT!!! I'm so glad you have joined us!

You have a great foundation under you considering you have experienced this LIFEstyle before.

If you are moving forward and planning going 100%... my suggestion is that you get a copy of Alissa's book. There are so many things in that book - that will help you transition and help you along the way. Seriously --- Alissa's book and her DVD were the two most important tools I had when I first decided to transition to 100% raw.

If you are feeling spacie - the problem may simply be that yu are not taking in enough foods... or like carol said - perhaps it is part of the detox that you will have to go thru. Having Alissa's book will help you because you can check to see if you are eating the right amounts of food - or combining foods properly....

also -- make sure you are drinking enough water!

can you give us an example of what your daily intake of foods looks like right now?

i do hope you are feeling better soon... sometimes - cutting out things like coffee can make you feel a bit spacy or disoriented.. or very tierd... sleep if you can when you need to.

blessings on your journey -- glad to have you on board! ;)

Welcome! If you feel light headed, make sure you are eating enough and maybe add some more grounding foods like nuts, seeds, and fats (avocados, olive oil, olives...) Also things like flax crackers or dehydrated breads are heavier and may help with the light head. Best wishes!!!!

Hi Kim, nice to meet you! Welcome to the group. It's such a lovely bunch of people.:D I'm not sure about getting light headed, hopefully it wouldn't be a regular thing.

Best wishes on this raw journey!!
