It may have been quick but I'm still excited that the word "raw" got out there. Most people I know have never even heard of it so every little bit can help!
I truly believe this is the way of the future and I LOVE being a part of it early on. I tell everyone about it and while they may think I'm a little "nuts" or radical, every time they hear the word "raw" from that point on, it will make this life style a little bit more viable. Then maybe some day they will give it a shot! :)

that was crazy. if i was in the junk food room, i wouldn't know what to do with myself. i'd be disgusted by the food choices. on the other hand, if i was placed before Alissa's lovely spread, I'd have to control myself from eating everything in sight.

Alissa, keep going! You are doing a great job of getting this info out there and even though it was a small part of what you actually did, that they showed...it was good. And the food looked so great! You did a good job. You should be proud!
Oh a side note, you looked beautiful too! :D

If I would've been there, and everyone would've left me sitting there, I would've been like, "HEY ALISSA!! Come on over and let's chow down on this great food" We would've had so much fun!

Oh...my...god....if someone threw me a party with all that food, I'd die. Right there. Of happiness.
Alissa, if I ever have the chance to make a wish and get is granted, I'm wishing for YOU to come and make a feast with me!!!
The food looked good, that tacarra girl was on SOMETHING. Did she used to be on America's next top model or something? I've seen her around.
for some reason, I can't see the video! :( anyone have another linky?

It may have been quick but I'm still excited that the word "raw" got out there.
It seemed to be that the people in the video were turned off immediately when they heard the word "raw". It was like they were grossed out by the word. Like they were looking at eating "raw" meat. I keep hearing people say, "Oooo...you're not going to eat that "raw" are you?"

I don't think it was the "raw" word - it was the vegan, unfortunately. It *ahem* ticks me off when people don't try something before judging it. Whenever I make something that I know my bro will like, he always asks whats in it first - when he gets stuff from micky d's he doesn't CARE what is in it, "as long as it tastes good." Double standard, no?

i know exactly what you mean! it's sad when people aren't willing to go out of their self induced limits to try something different. it's just food-and healthy, yummy food, too. it trips me out that people would freak out over some fruits and vegetables.
I just think it's funny that the chick who was so adamant about raw stuff being gross... was eating grapes.
Does she not know they're raw???
Anyways, the food looked great, and it was definitely good that the others who tried it said good things. :)

Alissa,
Will you have a part in any of the rest of the shows to do with this program?

Not sure if everyone got this emailing from Alissa's company but it said the following:
"Everyone loved it... well, all but one!
Unfortunately they cut out the hour of talking and eating at the raw food table. But all of them LOVED it and wanted to find out more about it.
They all got a copy of Alissa's book and DVD and they were thrilled, but of course... that doesn't always make for good TV!"
So, basically, everyone (except Tacara (sp?) that is) loved the food and about an hour was spent with them talking to Alissa, asking questions and eating the raw food meal that was prepared for them BUT...of course on television they want to showcase what is or appears to be controversial and negative  towards anything not considered "normal" so they cut all that out.
But that's very cool that those who did remain loved the food and were excited to learn more and to get copies of Alissa's book and dvd... so all was NOT lost! :)

On TV they always like to make things seem negative or something that it is not. I feel like they should have shown more but that is how it is when the they only want to display there way of eating.
It was good to see you on there Alissa.

...and I was like: "Is he SERIOUS?!? Do we REALLY want to see this brand of negativity...again?"

Thanks for the information, rawkinlocs! I wouldn't have known. It's amazing what they choose to edit out & in. In a way, it makes the celebrities look bad, too, & I don't want to watch people I don't like even for curiousities' sake!

Totally agree - this was the first time I ever saw that show - and I was amazed by his crudeness and pitiful attitude. Not a happy man and definitely negative aura - no thanks!

i expect it's frustrating they used such a small clip after filming for so long, but all of your food looked SO beautiful, and you looked stunning as well. the word's getting out, and it's great. congratulations :)

That food looked so good! Alissa looks great on television. Can't wait for her non-cooking show.
