I just finished 10 days of progesterone that my doctor put me on since I haven't gotten my period in 8 months, and it was 10 of the worst days I've ever had. When I described my symptoms to my mom, she said it sounded like I was going through an extreme form of menopause. And I'm only 22. I was so grateful when the pills were gone mid-way through last week, but now my throat is killing me, I'm freezing cold, and I'm coming down with a fever. Since going raw back in September, I haven't been sick at all except for a minor two-day cold. So is it just coincidence that I'm getting sick now, or is my body freaking out from being on the hormones and detoxing from them?
