Hello. I'm new here and love your forum. I'm new to raw fooding and am thinking about buying Alissa's book. How many of you have the book and find it valuable to have rather than only getting information from the forum? Thank you so much.

VERY VALUABLE! It helps to read through all of her information, to have all those recipes--and I go t the DVDs, and they are GREAT! Especially if you are new to this, seeing the recipes made makes it very easy!

It is hands down the best raw educational tool you will find. When others on here are talking about sprouting...it teaches you that. When we are talking about food combining, it teaches you that. Along with before and after stories (especially Alissa's) and pics, recipes...it is a must! Congrats on joining us and I hope your raw journey brings you great happiness and success. (((HUGS)))

You gotta get it AND the dvd's. Don't know what you're missing until you do.

She has a great way of looking at things and tells it to you point blank! Here is why/how you do it if you want the best benefits. That's what most people need when they start something new that they think is going to be hard. As I read her book, I find it easier and easier to stay raw.

I was on this site for about 3 weeks before I ordered the book (thinking like you, do I really need it if I have this???) but I'm not disappointed at ALL. The stories she tells are inspiring but she also tells you how to do it even when you get to a hump or get discouraged.

I would recommend it! Plus the recipes are great to have. :D

I agree with everyone else. You really need the book and the dvd if you are serious about trying a raw food diet.

I agree, it is a great book. I liked reading all of the experiences. Great recipes for new ones. I would suggest when trying the recipes to not make alot of each one till you try it out first. Some things I really liked and other recipes I didn't. At first it takes time for the taste buds to change to raw and you may not like certain foods until later. The DVD was great and very helpful.

The book and DVD are my bible. The recipes are incredible and when I'm feeling discouraged, I just pick up her book and I can continue on. I could not maintain my Rawness without her book and DVD. It is worth every penny.

I have about 10 different raw food-related books, and hers is the only one that is almost always open on my table. :)
