Tomorrow I'll have been raw for two weeks. Even as a vegan my acne didn't go away, but now my skin is more clear then it's been since I was 13. I'm 29 now.
I can finally touch my face without pain or itching. Now it's smooth and silky. I think the coconut, avocado, hemp seeds, and ground flax seeds are helping make it so soft. It could be many other dietary factors as well.
Even the skin on the cuticles on my nails stopped peeling - an excellent indicator of better hydration.
As the days go by my skin is clearing more and more. So I can expect even more improvement.
I'm just so happy and I thought I'd share. :D
I am so happy for you. I totally know what you are talking about. I went from breaking out all the time to having clear skin all the time. It is amazing that dermatologists will tell you it doesn't matter what you eat cause it doesn't have anything to do with it but when I cleaned up my diet I cleared up my face. So I don't buy it anymore! We are proof aren't we!:D yeah for raw foods!

Yay for you, Andre! I'm so happy for you. Your skin cleared up so quickly, too!
Morn- You are a testament to the powers of raw in so many different ways, not the least of which is your skin. You have porcelain skin- It reminds me of Nicole Kidman!
Much Love to you both! :)

Hi,
More good news for you! It takes acne about 1 month to develop from start to finish- that means you will probably continue to see improvements in your skin in the near future! I know this because I know people on the strongest medication prescribed for acne (Isotretinoin). They have to be on it for 3-4 months and are told not to expect anything before a month. The oil glands are shut down with this medication, and then they can't secrete so much oil, the pores aren't as likely to get plugged, and since there are less plugged pores, it is unlikely that they will get inflamed and infected.

Yes, my skin is extremely pale looking. It's always been that way. And it can make even the smallest pimple stand out. That's why it's so important that I take care of my skin.
I've used so many tanless sun lotions and that often ends up looking almost yellowish which is NOT healthy looking! I want to go the all natural route anyways. If I'm healthy then moisterizers and dyes aren't required anyways. ;)
Another good thing is that I don't feel that tingling/itching feeling nearly as much after I eat. I've had the 'tingle' feeling for about 15 years. Nice to have it diminishing. :)

Ah, I too am pale, so I emphasize on the 'standing out' situation...
For many years, throughout my teens (during which time I had mild acne) I used Neutrogena's oil free acne wash, thinking they salycylic acid was helping my skin stay fresh... Boy was I misconstrued. When I switched to to Dr. Bronner's all natural, pure castile all-vegetable soaps... My skin changed significantly in days! I'd already cured the acne when going high-raw for the first time, but switching to a natural product made all the difference- I instantly attained a natural glow and my skin became less dry and not quite as sensitive... A good, clean raw diet will DEFINATELY clear your skin (though I suggest straying away from nuts for a while), but I also hope you're using a natural, simple face wash;)
