Hey folks, I've been a very bad raw foodist. A month ago I was 100% raw for 2 week stretches and then I fell back, and I went on and off since then. I have found it incredibly hard to maintain since I'm traveling every week and work 100hrs/week for my company, and professionally it looks very bad to go to dinner with a client and have a salad with no cheese or dressing.
Furthermore, DC, where I'm traveling every week, has few if any raw options other than Whole Foods and a juice bar somewhere. Hauling a juicer up to my hotel room every week is also tough... and I can't bring it with me onto customer sites.
But I'm going back to headquarters for a week next week and I want to juice feast the whole time I'm there! From my studies it appears juice feasting is the shortcut to detox while still providing enough energy to be productive.
So I bought Angela Stoke's e-book on juice feasting. It was a nice overall study of juicing, but her actual content on recipes and how to make tasty green juices was VERY lacking. I think she had maybe a page of recipes that are of the form: celery/spinach/carrots/parsley
That's it? That's the recipe? What proportions?
So I'm looking for more information on this -- who can show me a set of juicing recipes with the proportions and hints. Or maybe a youtube video? Something to help out! I made a green juice the other day and it was pretty nasty.
