I got a bunch of ladies together to honor a friends birthday last night. It was a surprise and we all met at the Olive Garden. I was there way ahead of everybody and was able to make it clear to the waiter that I eat only raw now. he made my salad himself just how I asked and made a fruit bowl for me for dinner. I love italian food and it wasn't even torture. What was so cool is I watched how everyone ate. They all ate a lot of salad and then chowed on their cooked food. I had two plates of a modest salad and a small fruit bowl and I was FULL!!!! I came home just so happy about feeling great! I was even able to share my heart about it to the ladies and they all said how good I looked and praised me for the weight I have lost. It was a great boost for me. I just thought I would share that all with you!

Shanna,
Great job! I'm new to the lifestyle and my biggest problem is eating with friends and family. That is indeed a test. You should feel proud!

Dear Shanna,
CONGRATULATIONS, how marvelous.
What a wonderful accomplishment.
YOU did great.
I can feel your pride in your post. It can be challenging to go out to one's favorite food restaurant and NOT give in, but YOU did it.
Again, congratulations.
You are RAWSOME!!!!!!

smiling big cuz right now I want to go eat the last hamburger that kids did NOT eat! But I won't but I want to just cuz it's there. AND because I don't have any gadgets to make bread for a sandwich. Oh how I crave a bit sandwich with avacado and toatoe and lettuce and mayo and bread . . . all raw of course. SOON

Hey good job. I have had the same experience at Olive Garden and many other restaurants I have been to. They usually are very helpful when I explain my eating requirements also. You should be very proud of yourself.

Shanna, you're an inspiration. My kids always get mad when I ask for food without butter or milk extracts on it. They love the Olive Garden, next time I'm going to ask for all raw rather than just saying I can't go. Thanks!
