Ok, it's been one of those half a year things, trying to find what others told me was balance. It didn't work. Balance for me is raw. ;)
So, tonight, I started a new raw blog for journaling my raw thoughts, posting pics of raw yummies and sharing pics of my weight loss, skin clearing and other details like menus.
I'm very excited to return to what works. Tonight I already have a deep peace setting in. I know I'm finally doing the right thing.
God Bless, if you get a chance check out my blog by clicking the link below. Raw (((HUGS))) ya'll! :)

Hahaha...funny, I'm similar. Balance for me is complete purity and the inevitable 'control' that led up to that. Personally, in my experience, anything that's impure will just act as a drug for me (coupled with all those nasty side effects), and just lead me very very far from balance. I DO envy those people who can do things in moderation, still feel in control, and who have positive outlooks on life nonetheless.... Ultimately the emotions and thoughts are HUGE factors in our health... So, having said this, try no to kill yourself if you slip up from timei to time... Just brush yourself off and resume what you began... And... Good luck!!!!:D

ShelShel - I know exactly what you are talking about. I thought I needed to add some cooked veges and cooked protein back in for my muscles, energy, etc. Each time I tried I felt horrible. Plus nothing looks worse to me then a piece of dead chicken on a plate, I get repulsed just thinking about it. And due to my impatience at not losing all the weight I need to lose I was stupidly thinking 'raw is not working for me I need some cooked' when the truth is that raw is what helped me reduce 50 pounds in the first place AND feel better with my Fibromyalgia than I have IN YEARS!! What a jerk I was. I made it raw through the toughest time (my dad passed, and then the Holidays) and then stumbled. BUT the good news is that I KNOW that raw is the way to go for me. There is no doubt about it that it helps me feel better on so many levels. Thanks for posting about this. :)

You guys are so Rawsome! I love this forum. Yes, I will try to be gentle on myself. ;) But at the same time, I woke this morning just feeling so great and that was after one day back to 100% raw. I'm so excited about three months from now in the dead of summer, when the heat doesn't bother me, I can wear a bathing suit and enjoy the beach.
Hey, I just posted a few more times to my raw blog. I'm trying new recipes and trying to come up with ideas for others. I will post as many pics as possible. (As I love to share my success and not such great turn outs! :p )
If you have a raw blog like this, please share your link. I would love to check it out! :D

Hi Shelshel, welcome back. I did the same thing as you (I used to post as swingbolder). I ate cooked for a few months in order to be balance and I just ended up feeling lousy. The good news is that I re-committed just three weeks ago to 100% and am feeling pretty great. And you will too.
Your before and after pics from your blog really tell the whole story!

Rawmonger~Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I feel soooooo much better after just one day. It still amazes me.
I just came from your blog. You are right, blogging totally helps me stay focused. There is something about writing that helps me really focus.
Congrats on 3 weeks! I'll keep checking out your blog from time to time. ;)

Welcome back! I know from your blog that you are an expert at raw. It shouldn't take too long for your weight and energy to get back to where you want them. People keep saying "don't you think you should eat some beans and rice? Isn't this a bit extreme?" Thanks for sharing your experience so I won't succumb to their advice!!

Yes, it is very difficult when you have some people in your life that you respect who think you are doing something wrong. :o But I have learned (the hard way) no one lives in your body but you. I love being slender. I've never been...my whole life I was chubby.
I love clothing and fashion. I always did, but couldn't wear what I want. Now I chose anything I want.
This is so good for my spirit, my joy levels, and my acceptance of myself as a person. How is that extreme?
I've also realized that if I accept it as healthy and right, others do. It's when I act shy and unsure that they question me.
So, stand with your head up and know that you are doing the best for your body. They can eat whatever they want. I will do the same. ;)
Welcomg back, ShelShel! yep, I too can identify with what you say. What amazes me though is that when i do stray, all the old vitality and feeling of cleanness etc comes back so quickly once I've had a day or two completely raw again, especially if I include lots of greens.
Good luck!

But the most important thing is, is that you're back!! And you obviously feel good about it, so to me, this is where you're supposed to be. WELCOME BACK!!!

Thanks you guys. And you are so right, it takes so little for our bodies to bounce right back. I feel fabulous and it's only been 2 days.
I'M SO GLAD TO BE BACK!! :D
