Like if I wanted to add some hemp protein powder or green food powder, would this somehow make my smoothie 'off' because it has a creamy base?
I just don't know how this would all mix in my stomach?

I'm sure peoples' answers will vary, just as our experiences/reactions to different foods do. PERSONALLY, I have found that the simpler the smoothie, the better... I try to stick to a few ingredients maximum, as I find that overly complex smoothies can cause lethargy, bloating or itchy skin... This is when I go crazy on added supplements, superfoods and what not, though. Then again, my body can be very sensitive :p I will add, though, that smoothies (particularly green smoothies) are surprisingly digestable, which the blending process undoubtedly contributes to. If I were you, I'd experiment a bit with different combinations and amounts of ingredients....... Sorry if that wasn't of much help:o

I sometimes add hemp protein powder. You can add supplements to whatever you want but I don't think that there are too many we need if we are eating fruits and veggies.
