I have been raw to a greater or lesser extent for a few years now-- I find that I tend to go 100% in summer and drift closer to 80% in winter time-- I say this reluctantly as I hate pigeon holes and percentages and firmly believe in doings things because they feel good and right! I LOVE Alissa cookboks-- and teachings!-- she is voice of sanity and joy in a sometimes very self-righteous field! I live with two dogs, two daughters and one husband in the Boston area and am hoping to find a raw-food teacher course around here some time real soon.

Hello Miss Brooks! I'm on Martha's Vineyard, but I'm in Boston all the time. I agree on all counts re: Alissa etc.! It definitely does feel good and right to eat this way...

Alissa has the teacher training in Kittery in a couple weeks, I believe. If you click on the left side of the screen where it says "Find an Alissa Cohen...," that will bring you to information about her 5-day teacher training. I went and had a great experience. I do in-home 3-day trainings (and also here at my home) if you wanted the first three days (feel free to send me an email if you're interested). There are some other teachers in the Boston area too. :)

Anyways, I'm glad you're here!

Hello Miss Brooks (and hi Eva!)

I'm doing a class on April 12 - it is not a Level 1 Class but will be doing that in the next few months.

It's always nice to have a local raw fooder around - have you been to Alissa's new restaurant yet?

Best Regards, Alicia

Hello,

It's nice to see other rawbies in the Boston area. I live down near the canal in Plymouth but grew up in Weymouth and I'm the area a lot.

Maybe we'll meet sometime at a raw event in the area.

Nice to meet you and welcome!

Hi there, I'm a Quincy born, cambridge bred, new to raw foods woman in south easton, ma. I'm a hospice nurse, and one of my radiant patients turned me on to raw foods, he is a hippocrates health educator, and since i've known him, i've been transitioning into raw. mostly living on smoothies and salads, very satisfied. I just purchased a dehydrator, a vitamix, a juicer, and a cuisinart........got several raw food books, and am awaiting alissa's. i'm thrilled to be here.
Question: where do I go to change my user ID and create a profile?

Thanks, Mary
