I'd love to try making some buckwheat crispies, but I have no idea what buckwheat is and where to get it!

The toasted buckwheat groats are more uniform in color but the raw ones are greenish and vary in color. They're really cool looking, actually. I get mine in bulk at New Seasons (West Coast chain), but someplace like Whole Foods or a health food store would be likely to have them, or of course you can buy them online.

Thanks that was helpful, do they spoil if they're hulled like nuts?
