A grocery cashier questioned my food choices yesterday, and when I told her I eat Raw Vegan, she didn't understand. (Some people do, and some don't)
Since there was a line behind me, I didn't feel it appropriate to go on and on about the diet. And, when I just simply said I eat raw fruits, veggies, nuts & seeds (to make it simple), she wanted to know more.
She asked what eating that way had done for me and I told her that I've only done it for just over 2 weeks & the migraines are gone! Also, that my energy is slowly returning and other things that I didn't get into.
I told her that way of eating isn't for everyone. It's more than a diet- it's a lifestyle.
She still seemed interested, so I gave her the web address for the forum and told her she could get some questions answered there.
I would have been more than happy to give a bit more info, but I didn't want to hold up the line, and I don't feel adequately qualified really. (Yet, I'm always willing to discuss it with people that prompt ME to talk about it. I don't generally bring it up as a rule though.)
I just wanted to know...based on the above, if it's okay to send raw-curious people here to check it out for themselves.
She seemed interested for herself, and not just a random curiousity (IMHO).
Thank you for your assistance.
