They did a cover story on raw foods!
Now, it's not in line with Alissa's teachings (the person says raw during the day, cooked at night if you want--and I don't even know if she's all raw anymore) but the point is this is a major decor magazine. Decor! This article wasn't in Mothering, or Body + Soul, or Yoga, or Vegetarian Times etc. etc. This is a glossy, pretty magazine targeting anyone but your average raw foodist.
This is all so exciting to me! The more mainstream Raw Foods gets and the further away its removed from the crunchy-granola hippie stereotype the more resources and restaurants we will have--and the price of certain items might actually go down a bit. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being crunchy-granola, but stereotypes can hinder. Of course, there are problems with becoming mainstream, but for the most part I think this article was a really god thing! :)
