Hi everyone,

This is my first post but I've been lurking for about 10 days. I'm enjoying all the amazing information on the site. Everyone is so knowledgable and helpful.

I ordered Alissa's book and DVd and it's awesome............ I've been vegan for about 6 months so I've found the transition very easy. My husband thinks I'm nuts because once again, I packed up all the packaged and cans goods in the house. I did this 6 months ago when I went vegan so at least the packaged foods I'm giving away this time, are all organic and vegan approved. Somene is gettting an awesome collection of canned beans and whole wheat pastas.

My husband won't give up his meat and cheese but it's totallyy supportive of me. He'll eat all the "raw" food as long as he can still have his meat & cheese. OK, not great, but it's a compromise. I worry about his health...but hey, you can only do so much.

In fact, last night when I got home, he had printed out a large picture of me and across the top was my name and the word "RAW". He made it look like a movie poster. So at least he's having fun with it.

Thanks for letting me share...........You'll see me posting

Hi Smoothie - and welcome. I'm glad your husband is being supportive and that you are taking his eating as it is. There's always organic meat and raw cheese options for those who aren't completely committed to the raw or vegan way of life.

Thanks Texicalian..........Luckiy the freezer/refr in the garage went out last week and we lost everything. It was filled with my hubby's meat. So now that he's starting over............It's organic and grass fed. So even through he's not giving it up........I guess that's the one good thing out of losing everything. Our dogs ate really well for several days...........:)
