So I have been high raw for the past three weeks and still feel tired and grouchy. My skin is dry as ever my eyes till have dark circles and I feel all over like someone has hit me with a bat. I really can't go on this way and was just wondering if anyone knows how much longer this will last and/or what I can do to lessen the symptoms and pain.
Thanks!!

has a major affect on detox and symptoms. If you have major detoxing to do, it is best to do it slowly, most people can't handle it. Remember detox is retox, and there are things you can use to bind to the toxins for removal. I'm sure others will have more feedback on the specifics and what to use..

I'd look into the Master Cleanse. That would probably speed up your detox incredibly, and you wouldn't feel it as much. It really helped me.

IMO, some very good ways to help lessen detox symptoms are:
Soaking in an Epsom salt bath
Sitting in a sauna (or doing anything that will make you sweat)
Having an enema or colonic
Jumping on a Rebounder (helps drain the lymphs)
Drinking lots of water

coffee enemas rock...not exactly raw but part of many raw and juiced-based programs. They prevent cancer patients from suffering from autointoxication while detoxing.

Wow thanks for the responses! They are great suggestions...unfortunately being that I am living in a dorm far away from home some of them are unpractical but I will soon be home once again and able to do more. I know I am not getting enough water either, which is probablya huge part of the problem.
Moving on to a slightly different topic, I was wondering about the «huge amounts of energy» everyone feels and the needing to sleep less. When does that kick in?? I sleep usually 9-11 hours and still need a nap the next day just to get through. I definitely do not feel energized at all.

I sleep a lot too, and have been raw since July. I'm working on staying 100% with no slip ups though, and I'm hoping that a few months of that will speed up my results. I know that my detoxing has continued (I ate horribly pre-raw), but my energy levels have been a lot higher than they used to be. It came on gradually, so that I never noticed a "raw high" or anything. I just looked back one day and realized that I was getting a lot done in the evenings: going to the gym, running errands, making recipes, etc, which I'd never had the energy to do when I was eating SAD.
So hang in there, be patient with the process, and go 100% if you can; it really speeds things along.

Wow 12 hours recycling goddess!!
And Carlsbad, thanks for the encouragement. I am doing 100% if you don't count a few condiments, and I don't. It really doesn't interest me to eat mono so I will probably never cut out things like nama shoyu and miso (which I consider raw but I know some people do not.)
Anyway, I guess I will just have to hang in there.
