Can you do a colon cleanse with diet only. I read on the internet to by things to do it with.

Is a Master Cleanse the same thing?

The Master Cleanse, if done long enough (40 days), can cleanse the whole body according to Stanley Burroughs (the author). Most 'colon cleanses' don't actually cleanse the colon so much as they cleanse the small intestines, which is where most of the 'junk' gets stuck. The colon/large intestine is large enough, short enough and straight enough to make it relatively easy to keep cleaned out compared to the small intestine. It's possible to have similar issues with the large intestine but typically to a lesser degree IMO than you would in the small intestine.

To answer your question though, eating a raw food diet would accomplish the same thing but would take longer and be a bit more gentle on the body. I have heard of people doing the Master Cleanse prior to starting a raw food diet especially if they have a number of addictions to break such as sugar, caffene, dairy, nicotene, etc..

Extra things you can do:
-Drink lemon water daily with the juice of one lemon per each glass
-Drink green smoothies daily
-Oil pull
-Dry skin brush

The Master Cleanse is pretty specific, but one of the things (mixed with others) it incorporates (I think) is lemon juice.

I find that doing the above things, and also juicing regularly, is doing the extra cleaning on top of the raw diet. I think all of the above and/or the raw diet do a darn good job of cleaning the body out, including the colon and small intestines.

Advance warning of TMI!!! Just ask my toilet if you need proof. :D ;) :p
