Hey all,
I need to plus up on my food intake, and I'm thinking blending is the way to go. I don't have a juicer, but do have a powerful blender.
What can I make that will get some greens into me, but also taste nice.
I've got: Kale/Spinach/Brocolli to use up. Bananas/apples/oranges plus most of the other essential raw bits and bobs, oh I have carob powder/honey also.
Thanks.. River.

Try this basic green drink. Use the juice of your oranges (2), I just juice them with a hand juicer, add in two handfuls of spinach, then a couple bananas and they are really good when they are froozen. You may need some water to keep it mixing. Good Luck.

Here is what I fed my boys tonight after a workout:
bananas
vanilla bean
dates
agave
cinnamon
cayenne
raw cacao
black grapes
bing cherries
spinach
almonds
flax seeds
It was very heavy and nourishing after a hard workout for younguns. I love the addition of cayenne and cinnamon with raw cacao.
With the ingredients you have, I'd do:
A couple bananas, frozen or no
handful spinach and handful of kale
some apple
handful of nuts/flax/etc
dates or agave
(plus vanilla or whatever spices u like)
water to blend.

hmmmm, I have a slight issue!
I can't seem to get a mixture which is remotely drinkable! I must be missing something.
I've tried adding a couple fo handfuls of spinach, with 2 bananas. Adding about a cup of water and blending. That tasted horrible. To sweet maybe, and not very bananary (if that's a word!)
I''ve also tried, kale with banana and apple. Again it tasted maybe too sweet and a bit sharp. I thought it would be more delicate.
Can someone post how they make their favourite, simple green smoothie. So I can try it out and get some greens in.
Cheers, River.
