Attention:

Once again, we are dealing with people bringing to Raw Food Talk teachings that do NOT adhere to what this forum is designed for...to be a place of support of the raw and living food diet in accordance with the teachings, writings, etc. of Alissa Cohen and her book Living on Live Food.

Again, many of you (for whatever reason) do not have her book and so you may or may not be aware of what she does and does not teach.

Here is a brief synopsis:

She does NOT teach that you "must" eat low fat; 80-10-10 or anything similar

She does NOT teach that grains are dangerous

She does NOT teach that fruit is bad

She does NOT teach that nuts are bad

She does NOT teach that dehydrated foods are bad

She does NOT teach that (certain) raw foods causes diabetes

She does NOT teach fruitarianism

She does NOT teach eat for your blood type

Basically, it's not about restriction and all that. She teaches to simply go raw and then your body (as it gets cleaner and cleaner) will know what and what not to put into it and will signal that to you but not to just read someone's opinion and say, "Oh, I'm not gonna eat __________ because ______ said it was bad for me or unhealthy."

So, this is another reminder to please keep discussions in line with what Alissa teaches. If you're not sure or don't know, I highly recommend getting the book and if you cannot at this time, then just kinda search around - a lot of the threads in the archives are a great example of what is NOT desired to be posted here as many of those discussions are the reason Alissa had to totally revamp and redirect this site back to the original intent she had for this forum. If you have questions about this, I'm more than happy to discuss it via email.

Also, if a thread is closed or removed...please do NOT start up another thread to reopen the discussion. That could lead to being banned from this forum.
