I have low ceilings (7ft) in my really great, but tiny efficiency.. It's quite stifling to my well being. I don't want to move. I love my apartment otherwise.
Does anyone know if it is bad feng shui to put a few large mirrors on the ceiling? Especially the lowest slanting ceiling areas in the kitchen and office...
Any suggestions on how can work with these low ceilings?

I think the only place that would be bad would be above the bed(only because I know it's bad for a mirror to be directly across from the bed)...I'm not sure about any other areas. I haven't read anything about that

I have rented an attic apartment. It has practically no wall space higher than 4 ft. Since it's at the top floor, it has long slanted walls or are they the ceiling ? - hard to say, but like I said it's so oppressively low. I want to put mirrors on the slants sort of facing each other.
(in the living/office/kitchen area - not over the bed! hahaha!)
I thought it may make it look and feel more spacious as it is kind of an open square space.
I too I had read about mirrors in feng shui being bad in the bedroom, but nothing about other rooms/areas.
I thought someone here would know about feng shui for better health and well being. I mean it is really stifling. There must be some solution other than moving, which is not an option for quite a while.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! :p
thanks Jeanna!

"When you have slanted ceilings.
When you spend a lot of time living in a space where the ceiling slants down towards you (like when it slants above your bed, or down "on your head" at the office) you may be in a situation where the ch'i is "smashing down" on you and disturbing your personal energies.
Cure Placement: Place the mirror face up with the intention that you are reflecting, or lifting the ceiling back up. Try to place this mirror somewhere between the top of your head (say, on top of a armoir in the bedroom) and the ceiling so the energies are reflected away before they hit you. "
a quote from feng shui plaace.......???

hey Thanks GlimR, I think I read that same quote last week! lol
so, I wanna create the visual illusion that the ceiling is higher.. btw, I did try the mirrors face up already soz the ceiling won't squish my chi.
oh well, thanks so much searching that quote out anyway! :p
ps. I read McD's is now practicing feng shui in some of their fast food joints! That's pretty funny!
