Are hybrid varieties of fruits and vegetables less healthy for you than the heirloom varieties?

I've been very curious about this for quite some time. I know the purposes for hybridizing, I'm just wondering if one of the consequences is reduced nutrient content.

Anyone know about this?

i think often foods that are hybridized tend to have a higher sugar content and less nutritional value than hierloom foods. the nutritional value of foods also depends on soil quality and other growing conditions.

would love to read more about this if anyone has information.
