Hello,
I just purchased a small container of wheatgrass from the healthfood store.
I would assume you just cut it off and then juice it right? Then my real quesiton is after you cut it off does it keep growing back or what do you do with the remains. I am just starting to research and look into wheatgrass.
thanks.

I just bought one last week for the first time too and I was confused at what to do. I have a very nice, expensive juicer but it didn't really work very well (seemed to get caught in it). I've read that you need a special juicer for wheatgrass. I've also read that you can put it in your blender with water and blend and then strain it. I'm not really sure if that will work but I'm going to try.
As far as what to do with it after you cut it, I questioned that too. I decided to add some water and put it in my window and it's growing like crazy! I've added a little water every day and it just keeps growing. I'm guessing that it will take about a week to get back to where it's ready to cut again.
Sorry I don't have answers for you but hope this helps a little.

Juicers for grasses are different than fruit and veggie juicers. The grasses have the be juiced by a cruch and squeeze method. They look like meat grinder. Here is a picture of one.

nope i didn't say your blender would work... i said a vita-mix will work. two different things really. i bet your blender is maybe 600 watts... a vita-mix has a 2.4 horsepower motor!
Speed ranges from 11 m.p.h. to 240 m.p.h., wider than any standard blender.
Now THAT is power!!!

I guess I was using the term "blender" too loosely. I have a 3 hp Blendtec, which is even more powerful then a VM so I'm sure it will work fine for me. But someone else readying this should understand the difference.
Thanks for clarifying recycling goddess! ;)
