Hi,
I am brand new to this site. I have been going raw since Oct. 07. I eat a spinach and grape blended smoothie in the am. I want to find other green drinks that are tasty. Any ideas?

Spinach and peach is a delicious combo. So is banana and parsley.
Blueberry kale is nice too :)
Just experiment. I find I can't go wrong with some fruit and some greens, whatever they are.

I usually have mango or banana as my base (to make it creamy) then add either berries, or an apple or pear, or oranges, etc and then add a green such as kale, spinach, or lettuce.
My favorite right now is banana, pineapple, spinach and a bit of cilantro plus some distilled H2O. (don't overdo the cilantro though!) Its super yummy and very refreshing and energizing!
My other favorite is mango, a bosc pear, and kale. Yummy and kind of creamy/rich.

Alissa has some in her book; Victoria lists MANY combos in her book and I've got a whole book out on smoothies ("puddings" and "ice cream") based on the raw food lifestyle (many aren't as they include sorbet, yogurt, or packaged milks).

What I do is keep a bag with mixed spinach and parsley on hand, and some kale gets thrown in there as well. Just about any simple fruit combo goes with this. I'm doing about half fruit, half greens in my GSs right now, which I'm loving!

The one I am going nuts for right now is from Victoria Boutenkos book "Green for life."
2 cups water
1 cup apple juice(2 small apples juiced)
1 banana
1 mango
1 small piece of aloe vera
5 leaves of kale(i'm using purple)
If you don't have a mango, you can also use pineapple or papaya in place of it. I had a bag of frozen mixed mango, pineapple and papaya and i dumped in what i thought was the size of a mango and it worked beautifully.
I am definitely getting more frozen fruit this weekend. :D

The only green smoothie recipe I've ever tried is one I made up:
1 cup mixed baby greens
1 cup spinach
1 cup frozen mango
1 banana
Water as needed
It's really good!
