...Wow! So I made Onion Bread and it is delicious...I keep nibbling it, and just threw it out:( .....maybe it is the Nama Shoyu, or my pms, or both...but eating it triggered intense salt and sweet cravings....had to let it go! It is really tasty though! Anybody else have trouble with it triggering cravings??!

Do other things with soy do the same do you? Soy naturally contains MSG (monosodium glutamate), a highly addictive neurotoxic drug that increases appetite and causes cravings (this is what food comapnies use to get you addicted to their "food" and make people fat).
I'm not sure if the MSG makes it into the soy sauce though, but I believe it does. I think soy sauce is far less damaging than other soy products though as it is fermented which destroys some of the toxins.

...hmmm, when I used to eat soy products, I didn't get the same reaction...maybe it's just the saltiness of the NS.......or really just my pms!

Ohhh the joys of PMS.
On Tuesday I made two chocolate/strawberry raw cheesecakes for a fundraisor at my school. The fundraisor got canceled, so I was left thinking "hmmm, what do I do with these cheesecakes?" PMS struck. I ate one whole cheescake on Thursday and the second one today!
Oh well. At least they were raw, and considering my ravenous hunger/cravings, my body may have needed that.
You can make it without the NS...I just use sea salt instead.

I had a bit of that feeling the first time we made onion bread. It was just too much like well, bread! I ate too much. I felt a bit compulsive about like I used to feel with baked products. That passed, though, now I can eat it sparingly.
I don't think it was the soy because I use some Braggs on other stuff and don't feel like overeating.

Thank you for your replies! ...maybe it wasn't the NS...because I do use it in other things and don't get that same compulsive feeling...now I'm wishing I hadn't tossed it outside....now I want another bite! Ha! Maybe I should make a cheesecake instead! hee-hee...thanks for sharing your story RawStrength!:D
