I would really like to start eating raw my problem is I work outside with not too many options of getting healthy foods always eating on the go I also cant snack on the job any suggestions? My next question is how long does raw food last in the fridge? One last question about excercise I usually do a lot of cardio and weights should I change my routine or continue with the same workouts basically should I start doing yoga or pilates to adjust with my body?........thanks :)

Freedom101, healthy foods on the go can sometimes be tough. But I almost always find a bowl of apples, bananas and oranges at the smallest of liquor (type)stores and small delis. At most of the restaurants around here, I can always get a big green salad, with tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, jicama, radishes etc.. (not all of them from the same place, but always a mixture of them).

How long does raw food last in the fridge? It depends on what the food item is. Apples and oranges last quite a while, while lettuce anywhere between 2 and 4 days. Maybe you can stretch that by washing early and placing in certain type bags. Some of the entree's that I have made from recipe books - they have lasted at least 4 days.

There is a forum here for exercising, and that may be the best place for you to ask your exercise question. Sorry I can't help you there.

Blessings.

Personally I find eating raw much faster, easier and more satisfying than eating cooked, or fast food.

So, instead of going to Burger King, and driving through and paying $5 for a burger and fries, then having a huge amount of paper garbage, just go to any grocery store, and buy a banana, apple, pear or whatever you desire, no wrappers, no waste, just toss the core in the trash, that's it.

If you can't get to a grocery store and need to eat on the run, pretty much all restaurants including the fast food places have salads now,

Although I'm not saying eat salalds every day, you certainly could.

You could just bring along a home made raw dressing, and some cut up veggies, or nuts, some sesame seeds, some raisins, etc.

You could have a gourmet salad every day of your life, and still not get bored.

and there are more fruits that you could eat in a year if you simply ate a different one every day.

If you have a dehydrator, you can make crackers, or breads.

And nut butters, or nut cheeses are super delicious on veggies or crackers.

There is an endless amount of things you can make and take on the road.

Actually, raw food lasts much much longer than cooked food.

Try this.

Take any raw food, apple, pear, tomatoe, and place on the counter, then take any cooked food and place next to it, which one rots quicker?

Always the cooked. nuf said.
