i used to love making homemade sushi, so i have a lot of seaweed & want to use it for raw foods. i've seen the recipes for raw sushi & im not that interested a) because i dont have a food processor & b) cos the rice is what really did it for me & c) id rather learn to make seaweed snacks.

lately, i've been making a sort of paste out of nutritional yeast & olive oil & sea salt & wrapping it up inside seaweed.

eh, it's not that great, sometimes fills a salt craving void. does anyone have any other ideas for seaweed snacks? ive crumbled it on top of salads before too. that's alright too, but my salads are usually pretty boring/basic.

This could be boring or perfect, but it's quick and easy. I sometimes take an avocado and mash it up and roll it into the nori but do not cut it up like sushi. It's just a really simple seaweed wrap essentially. It's so good.

You could also make a pate to put inside. I've done that and actually sliced it like traditional nori rolls. That's nice.

Before you nix the sushi idea, ckeck out this thread:

I was a sushi addict and loved the sweetish, vinegary rice! I have to say the the carrot rice I made was outstanding! I am now addicted to it! I used to be able to eat about 1 to 1 1/2 rolls of sushi with rice. Now, I can eat 3 to 4 rolls because it doesn't have the cooked rice in it. I have noticed a energy surge, also, after eating my new sushi recipes.

Give it a try, you just might like it!

p.s. In the thread I referred you to I mention using a food processor for the rice. It would be possible to grate the carrots and then chop them a bit on a cutting board. I also sometimes spiralize the carrots and then chop them up. It is not necessary to have a food processor for this "rice" recipe.

Good luck!
