Pink Tongue

A question for those of you who have done the MC until their tongue turned back to pink, how long did it take for the tongue to return to pink? also would like to know your raw status. I've been raw about 8 months, for a month or so I ate a little cooked food and smoked. I am doing the MC to clear that stuff out, and I know when your tongue turns back to pink it's a sign you are clean. How long did it take for other people?

I found, after doing the MC for 30 days last month, that the detox/pink tongue experience is a process.

For example-

My tongue was pure white from days 1-12, then started turning pink again on day 13. When I experienced another 'detox episode' (and yes, they do keep on coming, even after 10, 20, 30 days), my tongue would start turning whitish again.

Of course, the longer on the MC, the less white it became. Towards the end, it was mostly pink with a whitish stripe in spots.

This time around, my tongue is nowhere near as white.

Last year I'd been near 100 percent raw from March til June. I went terribly SAD/omni for the remainder of the year, which lead me back here.

Remember, we have YEARS of bad eating/habits behind us. Enjoy the process and try not to get too bogged down by just one facet of this amazing cleansing journey!

Thanks for the response mia, yes my goal was to do the MC until my tongue returned to the pink color. I wasn't aware that it would take several cleanses or most likely at 40 day+ MC. I think I'll just stick to 10 days and give it a rest until next time (september). Your words are truly inspiring :)

Awesome~ I am pretty happy that my tongue is reasonably pink for being in the first few days of the MC right now. Last time, it was GROSS. It's all a process.

You are doing really well, only 6 more days left for you!

(make sure you drink juices-- 1 day of juicing for every 4 days on MC, seriously, after your fast ends. A heavy stomach full of food after an MC is the most painful thing on EARTH. I've been there)

I've never done the MC, and am, admittedly, still new to the world of raw, but it amaZes me what our bodies will do when they are cleaning out and being purified of all the jumk that is in them!

yep, I'm looking forward to my orange/celery juice on Day 11. And I'm REALLY looking forward to becoming 100% raw again and maintaining this blissfully clean feeling.
magglepie - yes it amazes me too how our bodies respond to healing. It may be gross looking, but it's like what is on the inside shows up on the outside! Luckily the majority of it ends up in the toilet. :)
