Hi,

You may remember, you may not but a few weeks ago i posted on here what i usually ate daily and it was full of fat, like 150g of nuts/seeds, 3 avocados and 5 tbsp of olive oil....

I've started to change my ways.... and yes, i DO try and stick to a general daily plan, bot a really strict one, but just so i get enough fruit/carbohydrates in the day.

This is what I had yesturday:

20 oz (pint) orange juice
6 bananas
200g spinach
3 avocados
350g grapes
2 mangos
4 apples
20 oz (pint) watermelon juice

Today im changing the fruits around etc so im not eating the same but i got 2000 cal yesturday from the above list and i'll try and get around 2000 calories today with other fruit which shouldnt be difficult Can anyone see fault with what i ate yesturday? Like i said, thats pretty much how im goig to try and eat with that quantity of fruit but just sub the fruit everyday for like peaches, apricots, pineapple etc etc...

Sounds delicious....the only suggestion I would have is more veggies, which could be a nice, large salad. Way to Go!!!

As long as you're listening to your body, and cut down the fat because it didn't make you feel as good as the higher amount of fruit does. I think it can be hard to let go of the traditional SAD nutritionviews like fat in your diet leads to fat on your frame. It just doesn't work that way with raw, at least not for everyone. My body goes crazy without a lot of fat--it holds on tight to weight and my cravings go through the roof and my energy levels go all over the place. But if fruit and lower fat is what works for you, then I say go for it.

From my studies, and especially after participating in a teleconference with Dr. Brian Clement last night, I've learned that fruit should be consumed very judiciously. He went into a lot of detail about how ALL fruit is picked unripe and will therefore rob nutrients from our body in the digestive process. He also explained that fruit today, due to hybridization over the past 100 years, contains 80% more sugar than the original varieties. He linked the high consumption of fruit with numerous ailments and problems, especially the overgrowth and promotion of various pathogens, bacteria and viruses.

I'd also recommend limiting avocado consumption to 1/2-1 per day, at the most. I'd say to include more greens and veggies, some sea vegetables and some high quality protein, i.e, hemp seeds, sprouts, algae and chlorella.

hi all thanks for your replies
raven - thats a bit depressing you you said there about fruits but i guess thats life nowadays!! We've really messed this planet up!! Anyway, i agree with the green leafy veg, i think another 100g or so a day to aim for should be the aim,, and the odd celery/cucumber in a slad when i feel like it!
