Hello, my name is Melody and I'm new to the forum.

I am very interesting in this lifestyle and am here to learn more about it. I am not raw right now, but am going to start incorporating more raw foods into my diet and this summer (or whenever my pantry staples run out) I am going to do a 30-60 day raw challenge.

I am overweight, so any weight loss would be great, but the larger reason I want to do this is for my health. I have a vegan food blog, but don't talk about my health much on it, but I have Lupus and have been struggling healthwise since 2001. I am so sick and tired of being in pain all the time and I have an intuition that going raw will help with the inflammation.

..soooo, I'm here to soak up the knowledge and figure things out.

I have quite a bit of pantry staples that I want to use up before I make the transition as money is very tight for me right now...

I look forward to learning more here!

You mentioned that you have an intuition that going raw will help with the inlfammation.....all I can say is, follow your heart. Everytime I has those type of feelings and I follow my heart, I'm always glad I did and in the times I ignore those feelings, later I want to kick myself for not listening. Oh, you'll really enjoy learning from the forum here but you'll never regret buying Alissa's book, it really will help you know exactly what you need to do to go raw....the DVD is great also.

Welcome Melody!! Please jump right in and start posting away! you'll learn so much from this great group of people!!

I agree with jacsam, whenever I'm prompted in such a way, I listen to it now. I didn't listen at one time & I regret it deeply.

Much success & best wishes on your raw journey!!:D
